The essential fatty acids present in lecithin facilitate the solubilization of localized fat and cholesterol deposits. It also contributes to the absorption of liposoluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) and with vitamin E present in the same substance, it contributes effectively to cellular anti-oxidation processes.

Sodium deoxycholate also known as deoxycholic acid is a bile salt present in humans that acts as a detergent emulsifying fats ingested in the diet. It acts directly on adipose cell membranes promoting their lysis.

The above benefits added to the triple liporeductive action of ampelopsin, have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing lipogenesis which is carried out fundamentally by an inhibition of the glucose transporter inside the adipocyte (Glut4) and an inhibition of intra adipocyte fatty acid synthesis, which contributes to the reduction of substrates for the synthesis of triglycerides and therefore reduces the formation of new fatty acids.
And the activation of lipolysis through a direct stimulation of hormone-sensitive lipase and an inhibition of phosphodiesterase, with a consequent intra-adipocyte increase of cAMP, thereby increasing the rate of triglyceride degradation in adipose cells and thus reducing the formation of new fatty acids.
